As good Italian people, we have always firmly believed that the key to achieve a target is listening to the heart rather than to what people say. People are usually afraid to take risks and take on new challenges. Italians know that the obstacles we might face along the way will just make us stronger and more competitive.
Courage and passion pushed us to run our father’s business and look for those “travelling companions” who helped us to make it grow and lead it to where we are today.
We transfer the same courage and passion to every machine we manufacture. Every single day our machines not only produce a multitude of packages for million people, but also become a part of their lives, somehow.

Who we are
We are an Italian company born as a mechanical workshop in the late 1970s thanks to the desire and will of the founder, Vito Ferrari who established the company naming it “Officina Meccanica Ferrari Vito”.
On 24 July 1987 the company becomes a corporation and is named “AL.MA Srl Packing and Packaging Machinery”. From this moment, the second generation enters the company: the sons Claudio, Laura and Stefania who will collaborate with the founder for more than 20 years.
For more than 10 years the founder’s sons have been running the company, with the same enthusiasm and passion, typical distinctive features of the founder.
For 40 years AL.MA. has met the national market demands and until now has exported, with pride, in more than 43 countries in the world.

Our philosophy
AL.MA, known as the tailor of Thermoforming and Blister Packing Machines.
We do like being called the tailors of Thermoforming and Blister Packing Machines.
We produce only on order; we size and equip each model with specific groups on the basis of customers’ requirements. This procedure helps minimize waste deriving from used wrapping materials and boost the packaging of each product.
Our technical and project teams reach high standards of flexibility, versatility and cost-effectiveness. On a daily basis we aim at improving our capacity development thanks to our constant technical research.
100% ALMA-made products
The entire manufacturing process is done within the company:
- design and engineering with “Solid Works” and “Autocad 3D/2D”
- production of all the mechanical components with modern CNC machine centers with CAM programming
- design of the electrical cabinet and its wiring
- implementation of the on-board machine system
- assembly of all parts
- PLC programming and the final testing
Through our internal process we guarantee the control of the quality of every component, the correct procedure of every single step and the respect of the production and delivery schedules.
Our company's green side
Since 2010 we have decided to reduce our impact on the environment by installing in our headquarters a photovoltaic plant with a power of 80 KW.
Unlike other businesses that do not consider as a priority the importance of preserving the environment, we are proud to announce that we produce green energy.
We consider ourselves a socially responsible business.
So far we have produced energy amounting to 613712 kWh and the total amount of energy we have released is equal to 241934 kWh. The CO2 emissions avoided reach 325.9 tons.
